i want to know if any of you noticed any allegories besides this. i wont list all of them i know cuz i dont have time, so here goes....
Turkish delight-temptation, Aslan- jesus (DUR!) White witch- Satan (DUR2!) Aslan dies for a sinner and then comes to life again The white witch impersonates Aslan in the battle by putting on make up that looks like a lion's tear ducts, plus shes wearing his mane. That goes along with the antichrist trying to be like god in the end times.... etc... what have you noticed? |
i've noticed the White Witch's army are demons and Aslan's helpers are angels
Check the gate.... |

lol but yes ido think Aslanas the representor of Jesus Christ.
Check the gate.... |
OMG! of course I know. I go to a christain private school and like two years ago we read the lion the wicth and the wardrobe and we had to write like a 4 paged paper on all the similarities. Heres a few more....
Aslan being killed= Jesus dying on the cross the stone table breaking= the Tabernacle at the temple breaking Edmund betraying everyone= Judas betraying Jesus Lucy and Susuan watching aslan die= Mary watching Jesus die Aslan coming back to life= Jesus resurection I knowm more, but I cant remember them. Thump Thump Thump Thump. |
here are some i know well, some i think that are like this:
Aslan's army fighting in the battle=Jesus clearing out the evil Check the gate.... |
i knew all of that C.S. lewis purposely did that
a cute boy always makes a good movie . . . . even better. |

me and sis think the stone table breaking is the veil being torn in two. and when Aslan says at the end... It is Finished... Jesus said that too. Any others?

um...well, my dad is a theology prof. and i asked him and what i remember is that like, in the battle peter and the army are fighting the witch but they aren't winning until aslan comes. its like sinners fighting againts evil. we fight but we are loosing until jesus comes into our lives...does that make sense. it was kinda hard to follow him. im not as smart as he is.
yea me and my dad talked about all of this cuz my dad is extremely faithful except not weird extreme and like peter susan lucy and edmund are the disciples except not 12 because they like help aslan fighting against the witch but they have to do it with aslan thou too. and edmund is like Judaas when he betrays aslan and tells the which he has an army, and then instead of hanging himself like judas he goes and helps aslan after he realises what hes done . . . make sense?

ya c.s.lewis put a whole bunch of hidden things in the story that hint toward the bible. my dad could explain the whole story really well. but when i try it doesnt make as much sense. im kinda ADD of something i guess cuz i can listen to something but never repeat it right. anyways, its basically the story of jesus and the fight against evil. i love narnia!
well, i'm gonna go see it again tonight and so maybe I'll find some more!

i think it's awesome how c.s. lewis relates it to the bible. there were some things that i didn't notice at first, but after the movie i was thinkin' about it and i was like, "oh yeah that represents that." it was very creative of c.s. lewis. he has a great talent.
"blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" |
