But he pulled himself together, almost instantaneously. “Can I come in?” Will asked with a strong voice, still it was a voice, filled with remorse because of events from the past. My heart broke when I heard him speak. Still he was the one who had left me; he was the one who had beard a charmed life in Africa, not me. My husband Derek looked at me, I could tell from the expression on his face that I had to decide whether Will was allowed to enter my house, to enter my world. I nodded; my heart was still too weak to cope with William’s enchanting eyes. I still did not speak a word to him and gave him the unwelcome pleasure of waiting on the green couch in the sitting room, where my husband tried to start a tongue-tied and uncomfortable conversation with him, while I did the dishes at an irksome dawdling pace.

I dried the rest of the dishes, and went into the living room. I tried not lookeing into Wills eyes, but it was so temtping ,i looked. Tht was a bad idea...
"Hi YN. Srry if i was intruding something." he said. i just shook my head, and sat down next to Derek.

“So… how are you doing?” Will started the conversation. I sighed. “William, you have come here to talk to me. You have looked up my address and apparently you have been successful in finding it. There must be something important you desperately want to tell me. Please say what you have to say and save us both a lot of pain”, I answered. I spoke fast and soft so neither Will or Derek would here my voice tremble. My eyes had filled with tears when I had spoken Will’s name. I still cared deeply for the guy who had caused me a lot of ache. Will looked at me with a disappointed look. He hadn’t expected to find me married. He had even hoped that I would open the door and fall into his arms, as I would have done, many years and tears ago. Derek got up from his seat and mumbled something about groceries and he quickly went outside. The tension in the room was too much for him.

It was silent, and i knew why Will had come. "Well, i was going to ask you something, but it would be kinda awkward now...." he said. "I KNEW IT!" i screamed. "You would come for me AFTER i married! Well, guess what? No will, your to late. Im married to a wondeful guy, and im not leaving him for you....who left me 5 years ago, and never called, emailed, or came to visit. I'm sorry will, but this isn't right." He was silent, and stared at me. He was hurt, but so was i. I got up, and left for the kitchen, crying.

he tried getting up to go after me,but he just sat back down and decided not to,since it would cause more pain and ignorance.

Derek came in the house, "Honey! can we talk. This is very important!" he came in the kitchen, and saw me crying. He set down the groceries, and held to an envelope. I heard the door close, and knew Will left. Derek walked to me, and rubbed my back. He didn't need to know what was wrong. He knew i needed comfort. I have been very emotional lately, ever since about a month ago. Whats wrong? I said, calming down a bit. "Nothing we should discuss now." he said, setting down the envelope on the table. "Honey, i think you should go and talk to doctor Flemming, you haven't been yourself lately."
he said. "Ok" i got the phone and made an appointment for the next day.
I walked in and the doctor said i was fine, "I have something surprising to tell you though..." the doc said.
